Situated between the hustle of town and bustle of Holland Village, the House sits on a tranquil enclave, still untouched by the crowds, and known to few. Carrying the history of a former British barracks, the House is now refurbished, and nestles between lush greenery, offering perfect ambience for special occasions.
2 main courses, an appetizer and a pot of tea will set you back by at least $70. The menu has few choices for diners, but ambience is their strongest suite. This place is good for the special birthdays and anniversaries, or once in a while if you feel like splurging on average gastronomic choices. My take? Try it once, just have tea, then eat at one of the other restaurants, or Ben and Jerries. Or, do it the other way around.
Good company from Clarice certainly makes up for anything short. She's the cheerful and "happening" one I've been trying to introduce to Kai Wen.
Surrounded by cool greenery around you and dim lights overhead, you will be accompanied by soft music and crisp, misty air. If dining on weekends, a reservation is reccomended.
House, enjoy.
